Asylum

For the "big" project of our study a friend and I decided to model an abandoned asylum and to implement an interactive walkthrough with Unity.

Our goal was to build a realistic scene with authentic shading and texturing.

Within the limits of time we have for the project we chose to build an entrance hall, a hallway which leads past some rooms for patients and an examination room.

Draft & Design

For scale and orientation we created a floorplan and also used it to assign tasks, so my partner was in charge of the entrace hall, whereas I was in charge of the examination room, the hallway and the patients' rooms.

 

For inspiration we mainly used moodboards and then started modelling in Maya pretty quickly.
